Well I guess you gotta start from somewhere. And I’m starting at 12.47 AM, on a random Wednesday night. I showered, did all the evening routine things, and I just CAN. NOT. Sleep. I don’t even have my glasses on, so I’m seeing slightly blurry, but when the creative floodgates open, I guess we just gotta let it all flow.

From this side of the screen, I am happy to welcome you into my little corner of this internet. I’m Ivi, or Ivana if you wanna go by my full government name or how I’m summoned when my dad is mad at me.
What to expect
This blog is going to be a place where you’ll learn about web design, branding, get free stuff and inspiration, but every now and then, I’ll also include some personal stories, cause even tho I have a few amazing professionals helping me out with certain specialty tasks, this brand is me, and I am this brand. I want to show you what motivated me, how my life is going and really, who I am in the end.
I am not a perfect person, nor a perfect designer, but I will be a perfect fit for some of you reading this, and I can’t wait to meet you. So let me put myself out there first.
A bit about me
I don’t think I’ve ever had a clear goal of what I want to do with my life, but it kind of became clear with time that I am good at working with people. And it kind of crystallized as a passion of mine as well. But with time I realised that not all client-facing work was built the same. Freelancing, teaching, social media… I was even a flight attendant for nearly a decade. And it was awesome.
Until it wasn’t.
I feel like we’ve all been in a place where you realise a part of your life is ending but it’s really hard to accept it and change it. Well that’s where I was at. And your body knows. It knows when it’s enough, when you should move on, pivot, and other metaphors for basically just starting anew. And man, was I scared.
The Big Shift
My big shift started when I realised my work contract won’t be extended. First I panicked. A LOT! And then I started thinking, and thinking… more like a hamster in the little wheel sprinting. It was the first time in years that life forced me to pause long enough to actually think about what I wanted. And then I just told myself – fuck it. We’re doing it again.
I realised it’s time for another 180 shift in my life, cause newsflash, been there done that. I also have some T-shirts, cause I saw half the freaking world!
So I started packing, planning, saying my goodbyes. That one still hurts.
And just like that, I was back home, which if you asked me 9 years ago, would have been a laughable thought. But… I loved it this time!
“WHAT THE HELL AM I GONNA DO NOW?”
Spoiler: She found herself
Now I’m no magician… What I was at the time was a chronically stressed, overwhelmed and anxious girly (yes I am 34, but I am and forever will be a girly), who just had 0 mental capacity for other things. Flying really did a number on me. But nooow, I had all this energy, guidance and clarity ( I started hating this word for how much ChatGPT uses it), and I realised – why not connect two things I love doing the most. Working with people, and creating. I had the skill and the knowledge, we just needed a little bit of a roadmap.
And the rest is history
Wait, wait, REWIND! No, it is in fact not history, it is still a very fresh, ongoing labor of love, but I don’t regret it one bit. Honing in on my skills even more and becoming a Showit web designer is something that has changed my life. And not necessarily only in terms of income and a new career.
Learning the Business Side
There’s so many aspects of business we don’t think about, and by we, I mean people like me who have never run a business before. We can’t all be business majors, right? It has forced me to put myself out there like I never have in my entire life.
Embracing Vulnerability and Growth
But you know what, I also realized that even though I am embarrassed sometimes, there’s nothing embarrassing in doing what you have to, to make your life exactly the way you want it to be. And there is no better time than right now to start working on your dreams.
I know it is overwhelming. Fuck, I’ve been there, and sometimes I still am there. But that means I know how to get YOU from there to where I am right now, and I’m not afraid to present you in the most unapologetic way possible, cause girl, you deserve to be seen!

As they say, we are a speck of dust floating around on a rock in the universe. So just do you and I promise you won’t regret it.
